Obituary

Virginia Marie Fazenbaker, 88, of Accident, MD, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Born April 16, 1929, in South Union Twp., PA, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Della Elsie (Hoover) Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Fazenbaker, one son, David Fazenbaker, one daughter, Mary Clevenger, two brothers, Clark and Bernard Bittinger, three sisters, Viola Wilburn, Alma Mason and Melva McKenzie.

Mrs. Fazenbaker was a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons, Havard Fazenbaker, Cumberland, MD; Stanley, Playford and Gary Fazenbaker, all of Accident; Daryl Fazenbaker, Bruceton Mills, WV; five daughters, Ruby Patton, Accident; Rosalie Stanton, Joyce Suter and Loretta Boler, all of Friendsville, MD; Geraldine Michaels, Oakland, MD; one brother, Everett Ray Bittinger, Accident; four sisters, Helen Garlitz and Lily Hoover, both of Meyersdale, PA; two sisters, Zelda McKenzie and Sylvia Wilburn, both of Grantsville, MD; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ivan Ackerman and the Rev. Cindy Ackerman officiating. Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
