My sincere condolences to the family of Gary. There is such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. The Bible refers to death as an enemy because it hurts all of us deeply. (1 Corinthians 15:26) God wants us to be able to see and enjoy the company of our loved ones again in a healthy condition (Isaiah 33:28) and for countless generations of time. He promises a time where no family will ever have to mourn the death of a loved ever again at Revelation 21:3,4. This is why we are promised a similar resurrection like Jesus himself performed on his friend Lazarus at John 11:14, 38-39, 43-44. May the fond memories of Gary bring you much comfort as you begin to heal; and, may God’s promise of a resurrection bring you hope that you will soon see him again
