Caplin "Cappy" Steel Toro

Caplin 'Cappy' Steel Toro, 10 years old, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, in a tragic accident.

Cappy left behind his mother, Kellie Jo Fike; father, Mauricio Toro; step-mother, Dee Sears; siblings, Bronson Toro, 12, William Toro, 21, Kira Toro, 19; grandparents, Paul & Trudy Sloan, Guillermo & Myriam Toro; grandfather, Gary Fike; great grandmothers, Faye Jean Fike & Marquerite Deal; aunt & uncle, Amy & Bruce Best; cousins, Drew Hendrix, Alexis & Nate Best and his niece Ava Fox.

Cappy was a big hearted and kind young man. There wasn't a single person that he met that didn't appreciate his soul. He was an honor roll student and loved gaming and writing his own code and any kind of electronic device he could get his hands on. Being the "baby" of the family, he always had to be first at everything.

Cappy will be deeply missed, and continually loved, by all of his family and friends. But never ever out of their thoughts and hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, MD, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 5:00 pm with the Rev. Jeff Ferguson officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to your local Humane Society.

I met Cappy the first and only time on July 4th, 2017, when he and my son spent July 4th, 2017 together. He immediately struck me as exceptionally friendly, and special. Something clicked with me about him. I was very impressed my son had recently found such a quality friend. I couldn't believe the news only days later. Still very sad to this day. I didn't really know him, but he was so friendly and right up in your face kind of kid. Very straight forward. Very genuine. Very special.

Kellie Jo, Mauricio and the Toro, Fike family and loved ones of precious Cappy have my deepest sympathy. No other pain will ever be greater than the pain of losing a child.
Isaiah 66:13a says: “As a mother comforts her son, so I (Jehovah Psalm 83:18) will keep comforting you.” Revelations 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."
Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on Him and He will sustain you in your time of grief. (Psalm 34:18)
1. When eyes of blind ones see again
And ears of deaf ones hear again,
When deserts blossom as the rose
And from parched ground fresh water flows,
When lame ones leap just like the hart,
When loved ones never have to part,
Such blessed times you’ll realize,
If you keep your eyes on the prize.
2. When tongues of mute ones speak again,
When old ones will be young again,
When earth will yield her rich increase
And all good things will never cease,
When songs of children fill the air,
When joy and peace are ev’rywhere,
Then, too, you’ll see the dead arise,
If you keep your eyes on the prize.
3. When wolves and lambs will feed as one,
When bears and calves bask in the sun,
A mere young boy will lead them all,
And they will heed his childish call.
When tears belong to yesterday,
When fears and pain have passed away,
You’ll see how God these things supplies,
If you keep your eyes on the prize.

Caplin was one of my best friends. He would light up a room when he walked in because he made people smile. School will not be not be the same without him and I will miss him very much. I am praying for his family.

My condolences to the family, the bible describes a God of comfort, "who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the rcomfort that we receive from God." ( 2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May God comfort you during this during this difficult time and may you find comfort in his promise of a resurrection. ( John 5:28,29).

Bronson & Caplin made me smile every day at school. Bronson, my heart is full for you and your family. This poem is for you and your family from my heart to yours: I saw your smile just last night, the sun, he bowed, you were so bright. You favored us all at tens year old, I never could have been so bold. The earth, it seems, to be so bare, for now you sit on Heaven's chair. Don't cry they say, don't whisper your name, yet we should shout and sing all the same. Bronson caresses the memory of you, Oh Caplin, love, sweet child, God's too!

From my heart to yours in loving memory of Caplin!

I am so very sorry for your loss. Caplin had a bright light inside of him. He lit up the room whenever he entered. I believe that he will continue to shine that light down upon us all as he watches over everyone. Although his time on Earth was not nearly long enough, he made a mark on the hearts of everyone he met.
